Pacific Communities Health District Foundation
Established in 1983 to provide philanthropic support for the Pacific Communities Health District, and the hospital in particular, the Pacific Communities Health District Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees. The funds raised by the foundation stay in the community and assets purchased by the foundation become the property of the District. Gifts to the foundation help purchase medical equipment, support programs and services and assist in the construction and remodeling of facilities owned by the District, such as the Center for Health Education, the Samaritan Medical Group Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine Clinic - Newport, the Dialysis Center, and the pending Coastal Samaritan Treatment and Recovery Center.
